Few months ago my good friend Megan Bhatia who is an amazing real estate agent had a amazing idea to offer family or children photography session with me for her customers that just purchased a new home. Last week I had a pleasure to photograph the girls and boys basketball teams at Alain Locke school in Chicago. Alain Locke is the top charter school in Chicago and they have the test scores to prove it:) What I found really interesting is that regular classes are from Monday to Thursday and Fridays are dedicated to various interest activities ranging from salsa and foreign languages to arts and sports. I heard the basketball teams at Alain Locke are pretty. I don't know all the details but I believe they won some Chicago suburbs leagues and ranked high in Chicago.

Few weeks ago my good friend Chrissie, who is a great waiter at the Tilted Kilt Chicago, asked me to take some portrait photos of her. Chrissie wanted to be considered for the 2012 Tilted Kilt Calendar. Since we didn't have too much time before submissions were due we quickly schedule a session in my studio. What can I say I love January because mid-month is my birthday:) This year I decided to go a little bit crazy and ordered my own birthday cake. Few months ago I photographed an amazing cake at 2239 South Michigan Lounge. The cake was in the shape of a Martini Glass with the birthday girl sitting in it. Here is a photo of that cake. I was so impressed with the creation of Tipsy Cake that this year I decided to be a little bit more creative with my birthday and ordered a cake in the shape of my camera.
