I am super excited to share the news that some of our photos of a wedding shower that was hosted at Tipsy Cake were featured on Brenda's Wedding Blog!
This was a truly beautiful wedding shower. Tipsy Cake did an amazing job preparing all the delicious treats and decorations while Pistil & Vine created truly amazing flower creations.
Check out those photos! The purple color theme really worked so well here from flowers and deserts to incredible purple chips:)

Jesse & Anthony were referred to us by a last-year bride and her mom - Jackie & Karen. If you would like to see the photos from the amazing wedding at Narnia Estate of Jackie & Tony were posted some time ago.
I knew right away that Jesse & Anthony's wedding will be a family and love affair because they came for their initial wedding consultation with Jesse's parents and siblings. It's such a great idea to bring your loved ones to meet us because the better friends we all become the more fun and special the photos we can produce.
Jesse is a hairstylist and Anthony is a carpenter...

Below are some of my favorite photos from Magda and Andrew weddings. Magda and Andrew met in Urbana-Champaign at the University of Illinois. Even though Magda has been studying super hard to pass all the exams to become an architect she and Andrew were able to plan such a beautiful wedding. Magda being so creative she designed and printed her own wedding invitations! See them below! They were really nice! The ceremony was in the beautiful church of Saint Paul of the Cross in Park Ridge where I will also be photographing a wedding of Kathy & Ned later this year. Then the wedding reception was at Belvedere...

Being a Chicago Wedding Photographer is so a great opportunity to meet so many wonderful people! Lakisha and Alexander are definitely one of them:) Alex and Kisha met in Florida where both studied at the Florida A&M University. I think they made such a strong impression on each other because they both remember really well in which class they met for the first time and even who the professor was. It was an economics class and the professor was Dr Wilson. Actually, I forgot to ask Kisha and Alex whether Dr Wilson was invited to the wedding:) Well, after meeting at the economics class Kisha and Alex...

Early July this year I had an amazing pleasure to photograph a wedding in Warsaw, Poland. I am originally from Warsaw so photographing a wedding there had even more meaning to me. Chris & Gosia are both from Poland but met in New York City few years ago where they both lived. They are such a fun couple but most importantly they are obsessed with traveling:) One can hardly list a place they haven't been to yet. So after dating for some time in New York City they decided to move to Miami. After Miami they decided to move back to Poland to start a family there. The funny part is that they are already...

I found this interesting list of current wedding photography trends. It's always interesting to see how wedding photography is categorized. I think my style is closest to Fine Art Photography though I definitely include a lot of photojournalism in my style.
Here is the link to the original article: http://www.veilandtrain.com/photography/10-wedding-photography-trends/

Few days ago I had a pleasure to photograph a very interesting Serbian wedding of Jelena and Nikola. This was my first Serbian wedding so it was fantastic to find out more about all the Serbian traditions. The first thing that was different from all the other weddings I photographed was the big pre-wedding party at Jelena's parents. It was practically a wedding reception before the actual wedding:) Ahh, and all the good food served non-stop. But before the pre-party began the bride's family tried to trick the groom and presented him another woman slightly disguised. Of course he realized it was not his wife-to-be...

Julie & Caleb wedding is not till 2012 but since Julie is an event planner at the SAX Chicago Hotel I knew everything will be nicely planned ahead of time:) So two weeks ago we scheduled Julie and Caleb's engagement session. After meeting couple of times and discussing what Julie and Caleb had in mind we decided on the Chicago Landmark theme. Chicago has so many landmarks that it was challenging to figure out which ones we wanted to include in our session. We narrowed down the list to about 12 places. Our list included the Soldier Field, the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, the Planetarium,...

Last year I had a pleasure to photograph a wedding of Georgene and Neil. Georgene and Neil live in California but the beautiful bride was from Chicago. The wedding ceremony tool place in Chicago's Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. I absolutely love orthodox churches and our own orthodox cathedral is truly breath taking as well. The wedding reception was in equally beautiful Country Squire Banquets in Grayslake.
What I really wanted to share about this wedding is the great idea that Georgene and Neil had for the wedding party after the first few dances. Few baskets of colorful flip flops...
