Chicago Destination Wedding Photography at Yosemite – Runa + Bryan
We are super excited to share our Chicago destination wedding photography at Yosemite National Park in California from Runa and Bryan's wedding!
When she first got the job offer she was really excited yet torn because that meant she would have to move to a different state. With the support of her friends and family…it took some convincing but she accepted the offer and moved to Arkansas! In no time she met the love of her life Bryan (as she made clear to us right away that his name is spelled with a 'y') and was swept off of her feet.
Runa and Bryan are a very cool and laid back couple. The idea of having a wedding at a national park is pure awesomeness and we were so honored to be the ones to capture Runa and Bryan's special day. Their morning started with them getting ready in separate hotel rooms. It was very sweet that Bryan's mother and sister were helping Runa with getting ready. The veil Runa wore was handmade by Bryan's mother and sister – even each bead on the veil was sewn on individually!
They shared their vows with each other outside in the forest (Yosemite Falls) with a beautiful waterfall in the background. When they were sharing their vows everyone was in tears and you really felt their passion for one another. After their passionate ceremony we had a few good hours to explore the park and take a variety of pictures. It was so great that we had so much extra time with them to explore the park and take our time that they still had a few hours before their reception so we went back to their room and we all just relaxed and had a really good time until the cocktail hour.
We are always happy and try to make it our goal for the couple to be at their cocktail hour! They had a cocktail hour outside and it was on a nice patio with a forrest as the backyard. Both their cocktail hour and reception were at The Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Park, California. It was really cool because durring the cocktail hour there was a deer that came out of the forrest and was not afraid of people (see below what we are talking about) :) Their reception was intimate and very cozy. The night ended with some very beautiful and emotional toasts. We are very happy and wish the very best for Runa & Bryan! It was such a big pleasure to capture the memories of their special day!
