Chicago Engagement Photography – Julie + Caleb
Julie & Caleb wedding is not till 2012 but since Julie is an event planner at the SAX Chicago Hotel I knew everything will be nicely planned ahead of time:) So two weeks ago we scheduled Julie and Caleb's Chicago engagement photography session. After meeting couple of times and discussing what Julie and Caleb had in mind we decided on the Chicago Landmark theme. Chicago has so many landmarks that it was challenging to figure out which ones we wanted to include in our session. We narrowed down the list to about 12 places. Our list included the Soldier Field, the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, the Planetarium, Millennium Park, LaSalle street and the Chicago Board of Trade, Navy Pier, and few other places…
As you can imagine going to 12 locations during an engagement session can be a pretty tough logistics endeavor. We managed to figure it out though. We started our session at 12pm and continued photographing till 7pm! yep, 7-hour engagement session:) It was definitely my longest engagement session I have ever shot but it was so worth it! Julie & Caleb are such a nice couple (not to mention them being really good looking) so photographing them was a true pleasure. Julie already told me that she loved the photos and we have the pretty common problem… which photos to chose for the guest sign-in book, save the date cards, table photos, etc. But that's a good problem to have:)
Now I really can't wait till next year to photograph Julie & Caleb wedding! Especially since their ceremony will be in the Grant Park downtown and the reception will be in the Shedd Aquarium. Can a wedding be more Chicago than this!?
