I've lived in Chicago for 18 years now, but unfortunately none of my closest family lives in the States. For the most part this is not a nice situation to be in. However, there is one big Pro.... spending Christmas with my family in Europe. As they are spread across France, Belgium, and Poland every year we decide to celebrate Christmas somewhere else. This year we're spending Christmas in Paris with my sister's family house. Of course winter may not be the best time to visit Paris, but this city has so much magic that even the worst weather is tolerable. I have been to Paris over a dozen of times...
