I am super excited to share the news that some of our photos of a wedding shower that was hosted at Tipsy Cake were featured on Brenda's Wedding Blog!
This was a truly beautiful wedding shower. Tipsy Cake did an amazing job preparing all the delicious treats and decorations while Pistil & Vine created truly amazing flower creations.

Jesse & Anthony were referred to us by a last-year bride and her mom - Jackie & Karen. If you would like to see the photos from the amazing wedding at Narnia Estate of Jackie & Tony were posted some time ago.
I knew right away that Jesse & Anthony's wedding will be a family and love affair because they came for their initial wedding consultation with Jesse's parents and siblings. So we just found out that our flight back to Chicago got cancelled and we won’t be flying back till tomorrow. We have a “wonderful” night to spent at the Las Vegas airport. One of nice ideas for Save-The-Date cards for weddings is to print them on fridge magnets. Those cards still reproduce color super nicely, come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but most importantly wedding guests can put them on the fridge to remember about the upcoming wedding.
In the Save-The-Date cards that I create for my clients I also include their website address. This is a custom website that I create where we can include information about the couple (how they met, what they like, etc), the wedding party, wedding ceremony and reception, accommodation, etc

Julie & Caleb wedding is not till 2012 but since Julie is an event planner at the SAX Chicago Hotel I knew everything will be nicely planned ahead of time:) So two weeks ago we scheduled Julie and Caleb's engagement session. After meeting couple of times and discussing what Julie and Caleb had in mind we decided on the Chicago Landmark theme. Last Friday I received an email from The Knot that WASIO photography is the Knot 2011 Pick for Best of Wedding Photography! This email totally made my day. I don't believe photography is about awards and competitions but it's a great feeling to get recognize, especially by those people that I worked with. Last weekend I had a pleasure to photograph an engagement session with Lakisha & Alex. Their wedding is not till August, but we decided to have our session early so we could set up their custom wedding site and design the save-the-date cards. Lakisha and Alex met in Florida but recently moved back to Chicago where Alex is originally from. They are a super cool couple and it was so much fun to photograph them. Despite the Chicago January winter they got so much energy and stayed so warm that they were willing to even take off their coats for some of the photos.

There are many sites that offer semi-custom wedding information site for couples planning their weddings. I know TheKnot.com offers one and I am sure there are plenty more. But after seeing some of them I realized that they don't do the justice and decided to provide custom wedding info site to the couples whose wedding I am going to photograph.
After some research and help from Bob & Dawn Davis I decided to go with ShowIt.com They offer a great user interface and super powerful platform to create quickly web site. What's more important the sites look awesome in practically all browsers.
