Chicago Indian Wedding – Cheryl + Brian
A few months ago we posted Cheryl’s and Brian’s engagement blog and we are happy to present to you their Chicago Indian wedding.
We love tradition and we love that both Cheryl and Brian got ready at their parents homes. After a whole morning of preparation, before leaving for the ceremony, the family gets together with a priest in their home and everyone prays. Cheryl got escorted from her home with her younger sister Chelsea holding the dress for her.
Before Cheryl and Brian walked down the aisle, they arranged to have a "non-first look". A "non-first look" is when the bride and groom get to be next to each other but don't actually get to see each other. This is great if you want to pray together and it's another great opportunity for an awesome photo opp.
After their ceremony we photographed the couple with their bridal party at Clark Street Beach in Evanston and then the Bahai Temple.
One of our favorite moments happened during the reception when Cheryl surprised Brian with a set of songs. Brian was sat in the middle of the dance floor and he was enjoying the music and admiring his lovely wife. It was tear jerking. Then, during the first dance, it got interrupted (purposefully) because Brian had a surprise song planned for Cheryl. It was so perfect that they both had surprises planned for each other and both had to do with music.
