Las Rocas Resort Rosarito Wedding – Meaghan and Eric
Las Rocas Resort Rosarito Wedding
We love destination weddings! There is a different atmosphere that comes along with to-die for scenery. A few weeks ago, we had the honor of photographing a Las Rocas Resort Rosarito Wedding of Meaghan and Eric. Now that we live in San Diego, we actually got to drive over the boarder into Baja California territory. As we got closer to the resort, we were greeted with a giant Jesus on top of a hill covered with some dramatic fog.
We parked, walked around the resort, saw Eric chilling in the pool and a few seconds later the fog cleared up. What's a better way to start your wedding day then relaxing at the pool with your closest friends and family? Meaghan also had a fantastic morning where she was surrounded by all of the very important women in her life. We love how many bridesmaids she had and how close they were with one another. As Meaghan's makeup was coming to an end and it was time to put on her wedding dress, it got really emotional in the room. We are suckers for emotion and Meaghan and her mom gave us lots of it. The wedding dress was a perfect style and fit for Meaghan and the bridesmaid dresses complimented her nicely.
Meaghan and Eric decided to have a "none first look." That means that they got to be by each other without actually seeing one another before walking down the aisle. They prayed together with Eric's best man. This was a beautiful memory they will have for the rest of their lives.
They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony that was overlooking the ocean. Meaghan and Eric supplied sunglasses to all that attended the ceremony so that they wouldn't be blinded by their love – how cute! They even had their cute puppy be part of the wedding party and walk down the aisle for the ceremony. One of our favorite moments during the ceremony was when Meaghan put the ring on Eric, her reaction was priceless. You can see it in the images below.
During the reception, there was a money dance. So basically which ever guests wanted to dance with Meaghan and Eric, they had to pay by pinning the money on their clothes. This was very cool to witness. Sidenote: if you forget to bring money for the money dance, you can always write a check (see the photos below for this one). Meaghan and Eric has a beautiful wedding day. Having a destination wedding is always a great idea and a wonderful way to spend time with the closest people in your lives.
